R.I.P Dear Iron

My Iron went up in smoke. Literally. There was no flames just a lot of smelly smoke coming out of it. I tried cleaning it and rinsing it with vinegar water but nothing worked so I just bought a new one. Nothing special just a cheap 20 dollar one from Wall-Mart. I was in a [...]

Bloggers Quilt Festival

Park City Girl is hosting a bloggers quilt festival. This sounds really cool and I want to do it. Although, I don’t have many quilts to choose from since I have only completed three to date. I think my choice will be Ruby Reel, I love that quilt.

Spring to Finish

So I joined in with Tallgrass Prairie Studio to help motivate me to finish two projects. The first one is Mod Sampler Quilt along which is almost done. The second one is my Construction baby blanket. Carolina Patchworks

I dream of being her. LOL. She sews quilts from home and sells them what more could you want. I think my problem is I am really bad at multi-tasking and I bet she is really good at it!

In my browsing the web I came across this site called Bushfire Quilt Project and decided that I should help out. Here is my results. I made two total and they look exactly the same. Do you notice the little bit of log cabin going on around the edge? LOL. I am such a noob. [...]

Curves

The curves are done on my ruby reel. I am jumping for joy that there is no more pinning and curves to sew. It just took so much time pinning every single one. Then when they were sewn together they came out all uneven and then I had to square every one back up. But that [...]

Color Scheme

Well, yesterday I said I would make a diagram for you and here it is. There will be two patterns going on: 1. The black and white diamond pattern with the background fabric. 2. A square pattern alternating black and white fabric with colored fabric. What do you all think?

My first quilt

This is my first quilt ever, and I am addicted already! Quilting goes good with my everything has to be just so and symmetrical personality. I made this for a good friend who just had a little boy. I love the fabric. I saw the monster fabric at the store and knew that I had [...]
