$1.50

I so want to make this sweater, but I think it will have to wait a few months. Baby != Cheep. I just spent a whopping $500 on stuff we needed for WingNut. I about had a heart attack. I knew it would cost a lot of money but spending that much at one time [...]

EZ book

All over the knitting blogs I have been hearing everyone rave about Elizabeth Zimmermann, so I finally broke down and bought one of her books. I must say I now know why everyone raves about her. Instead of just giving you a pattern she goes through how and why she does certain things. I love [...]

Learning to knit

The other day my niece and my brother-in-law were over, and to my surprise my brother-in-law asked if I could teach him how to knit. I was a little shocked. Probably because my husband is completely against men knitting. He told me a long time ago that I could not teach his brother how to [...]

Winter Issue of IK

There are a couple of things I would like to knit from this magazine, but I most likely will not knit them. It’s hard to knit something knowing it won’t fit you in a month and not knowing what size I will end up being after the birth. So I am sticking to things like [...]

Dog Toy

This is what I get for leaving my needles out. It is called Doggie revenge. They seek out my most prized possessions and destroy them. I have to admit having dogs has made me a neater person. I put a lot more things away then I did before dogs.

Trellis

My friend O and I are going to make a scarf together. We decided on the Trellis scarf out of the Spring 2006 Interweave knits magazine. I bought the yarn from knitpicks.com.

A Swatch

I made a swatch with the yarn to see how my gauge is. I am happy because for once it is right on the mark:)

A New Project

It has been awhile since I made myself something so I am making the Prairie Tunic from the Spring 2006 Interweave knits magazine. The yarn I am using is Jaeger Siena 4 Ply, which is what the pattern called for. This will be my first time making something out of the suggested yarn. I got [...]

Bunnies

Another person I know is having a baby in a month. Since I just found out I don’t have enough time to make a blanket. I decided to make some bunnies out of leftover yarn. They turned out really cute. I got the pattern from this website.

Another Blanket down

Well, I have finished another baby blanket! I don’t think I will be doing anymore soon. All the pregnant people I know have now had there babies This blanket turned out really good. I hated it all the way till I put the border on it. It is amazing how adding a small feature like [...]
