I Love Homeschooling

This morning after waking up the first question wingnut asked me was, “Whats in bones?” So I grabbed my trusty tablet, did a Google image search for bone anatomy and had our first lesson of the day. All while laying down in bed, you can’t do that in public school!

Wingnut still has a big interest in bones and now I need to do some research and find bone activities for us to do. I have noticed that the bones of animals are not that interesting to him they have to be human. Does anyone have any ideas?

how fun! I’m not sure exactly how to do it, but one of the things I think is really cool is how bones and muscles interact and work together. You can also see why bones have to be so strong since they need to support a lot of force from the muscles to move. I have vague recollections of building something out of rubberbands that helped to explain this. If you find something, I’d love to see how it goes!
