The Last Round

Do you see that thin strip right before the purple border? That was my first addition to Hermione J. Schwartz’s quilt. Don’t be fooled this took me a bit of time; the blue strips are 1/4 inch wide.

I really wanted something that would be more patchy to bring what Anne did out towards the edge of the quilt.
Then, to complete the quilt I added a purple border. This is such a busy quilt you really need to click on this picture to view it bigger. You will then be able to see all the beautiful details in the quilt.

Kris from Summer at Grandma’s House did a great post on the rounds of this quilting be, if you are interested.

What a tiny task! it looks great and pulls it all together beautifully!

Can I just say, WOW?! You are a master at detail and I just love that tiny inner border. Adrienne is going to love it so much. It is kind of sad to see the round robin end. It has been so much fun.

Ooo… that inner border is so beautiful! I love that from a distance, it is seamless and just fits perfectly, and then close-up it is mind-blowingly detailed and cool. And it really does tie in well with Anne’s border. Wow! I also love how you closed it all up with the solid purple.

    So cool.
