Garden Challenge

This is our last link up so I felt the need to take a lot and I mean a lot of pictures :P They asked to share the march photos but really I just had bare ground. I thought showing how much growth I had in two weeks this month was more interesting.

My itty bitty ground cherries. I have never grown these before but I thought I would give them a try. Being so little I will just let them reseed themselves this year and hope for bigger ones next year.

My one surviving cucumber is blooming!

The start of the peppers.

Flowers at the beginning of June….

and peas at the end.

Lettuce beginning of June…..

Mid June…

end of June after 6 harvests.

The first harvest of the year!

The Swiss Chard I am letting go to seed.

The strawberries are turning red. With them one by one turning red and my son picking them as soon as possible, I don’t think I will get any :(

My garlic on a windy day. They are getting close.

Wingnut’s experiments in the garden.

Borage, cosmos and Zinnias in the cold frame. Sadly the Zinnias got all eaten up :(

A Bean sprouting.

Beans just before planting out.

Also at the beginning of the month we had a planting party that was inspired by Angela!

Great to see pictures of your pepper plants, so I can see what mine may eventually resemble! Your garden rocks! And after all, isn’t the true purpose of strawberries being fulfilled when you son picks and eats them?

To make jam, grab the .88 cent strawberries at Sprouts this week! I gave up on my berries and put some of those in the freezer!

    Hey great idea— canning linkup…

It really is cool seeing the transformation and how much everything has changed/grown in such a short time.
