I found this activity and quickly made it for wingnut mainly because he needs a visual reminder that some letters have more than one sound. What I did is made enough cards for all the letter sounds, so there are three a’s for the three sounds it can make. So far it is really helping and wingnut loves it! I pretend to be the penguin and ask for a sound and then he feeds it to the penguin while I make munching noises Then, I will let him take a turn asking for a sound. When he is comfortable with the current letters I will add one new sound to the mix.
