A Bit of Randomness

We got two rabbits! I will be sharing pictures soon.

One week off sugar! I am doing pretty good, no cravings. I read to up your protein and fat intake and it will curb the craving and it is working. I am feeling so much better. Before I was always sooooo tired, not just the did not sleep well tired, but exhausted and all I wanted to do was lay on the couch. Now, I don’t feel that anymore and am getting a lot of my to do items crossed off my list :) I sometime do still feel tired but it is the normal tired from not sleeping well. Wingnut is sick and has been sleeping with me and his raspy breathing has been waking me up. One super awesome side affect to quitting sugar is I lost six pounds in one week. I realize this is from not only the sugar but also not eating extra calories from the baked goods the sugar was in. After another week, I will start adding in natural sweeteners and then a home baked treat on only Sundays! I can’t wait, lol.

Wingnut will eat bacon now!!!!! So far the only meat he will eat is bacon and ham. I am personally a believer in eating meat, I do not criticize those who do not  eat meat; I have a few friends that don’t. That being said I am trying to get wingnut to eat more of it. We eat a lot of eggs around here because that really is the only protein I can get him to eat. It will be interesting if he will start eating more now that there is no sugar and because of the no sugar no snacks in the house. It is funny I went through the cupboards and threw out the obvious stuff that had sugar in it but wingnut has been finding the not so obvious items that have sugar. He has been doing this because his normal sugar items are gone and he is resorting to other items like peanut butter and jelly. I forgot they put sugar in peanut butter and I did not think about the jelly since I made it. So now that those are gone, lets see what he eats?

Yay for your experiment working! And yay for rabbits! We had one when Elizabeth was little and he was such a dear little rabbit. When she went to a Mother’s Day Out kind of thing, they were asking, “What do rabbits eat?” She said, “bananas” and they told her that was wrong and the right answer was carrots, but our rabbit LOVED bananas. He would get so excited when he smelled bananas. Cute picture of Wingnut in your other post!

im so glad that your no sugar thing is going good. i have noticed that as well when i dont eat sugar, i crave more fating protein so i indulge in that for a few weeks then move down to lower cal protein.

Rabbits! that is so exciting. i cant wait to see them!!

  3. Wish I could do that. I’m going to try…next week…I baked peanutbutter cookies today. :)

  4. Those are my favorite! You can do it :)

If your peanut butter has sugar in it, you bought the wrong one… peanut butter is a good source of protein.

I’m so glad to hear that the sugar experiment is starting to work for you! Definitely makes the “sacrifice” worth while. :)

Can’t wait to see the rabbits!
