Toddler Tuesday – 34 Months

Not much happened this week. I have been trying to get things ready for when I officially start school with wingnut when he turns three in two months. I want to start having a more structured school time. At the moment all his school stuff is in the living room and he has access to it at all times. I will keep it that way, but would like to start scheduling school time. I was thinking I needed something that would stand out to start school time so I have been working on some calendar activities to start the day with. Also, I am really, REALLY bad at routines and this is something I want to work on so I am making a picture schedule for our days. So in the mist of all this and finishing other projects this is what I was able to take pictures of :)

Some practical life. He got a measuring cup out of the cupboard and squeezed ketchup into it. Yes he loves to eat ketchup straight out of the bottle. This was his snack for the day, lol.

Train work. Yes I count this as schooling. Making a track is like a puzzle.

Shape matching while eating an apple.

More knobbed cylinder work.

Smelling bottle work. I have to say all he does right now is smell them. I also found out he does not like the smell of garlic powder :)

Those are cute little bottles you’re using for the smelling bottles. Are you afraid though that he will start to match them by visually looking at them rather than their smell though?

Doesn’t like garlic powder? Sigh…. he’ll learn. :) I’m so with you on the trains. It is definitely an exercise in puzzling putting those tracks together– at least, it is for me!
