Toddler Tuesday – 34 months

This was a pretty busy week for wingnuts schooling.

One of his favorite activities this week was picking little animal erasers out of the lintels. My son does not do much over and over again in one sitting, but with this he did.

We had Wingnut’s friend over and they did work together. This little boy is so cute! He loved the knobbed cylinders. I had to teach wingnut about mats. That they each had there own and not to disturb the others boys work unless he asks him to join. Since wingnut does not have siblings this was good for him :)

They did a bit of playing in the bird seed.

They both enjoyed rolling there cars down the brown stair.

I put together a sensory tub with water soap and toilet paper and let them have fun.

Wingnuts friend loved spooning beans back and forth he must have done it for about twenty minutes. It is weird seeing the differences in children. Wingnut won’t touch the spooning activity and yet this little boy loved it.

Then on another day I made oobleck and let wingnut play in it. I had never made it before and I have to say it is the coolest thing ever!

I made a geoboard for wingnut.

After pounding in 130 nails, he decided that he did not like it and would rather just take the rubber bands off the ball. Maybe when he gets a little older I will bring it back out. He just might not be ready for it yet.

There was a lot of outdoor play as well.

My son gets frustrated REALLY easily. I am try to work on it with him but it is hard. For instance, when he was trying to do this puzzle, he got really mad when the piece was not going in the way is should.  Although, he does not give up he just freaks out the whole time he does it until it finally goes in. He is very vocal about his frustrations.

Wow! Lots of fun stuff going on at your house! I have to ask– what is goolek? And Wingnut really stuck his hands in there to play??? I seem to recall he’s not into getting his hands dirty. So if he’s up for it, maybe my boy would be too. :)
