Toddler Tuesday is brought to you from One Hook Wonder. Go there to see others
Our new Montessori materials arrived! Here he is using the brown stair. He had no problems building it the correct way or this way. Even though they are not a challenge, he still pulls them out regularly along with the pink tower. This weekend we will be going to Home Depot to pick up materials to make the touch boards and the red rods.

Some impromptu lacing. This is the first time I have been able to get him to do this.

Some mommy and baby animal match-up cards that my mother-in-law gave us. He whizzed right through these.

Some play doh fun. I really need to work on my photo skills I am getting tired of blurry hands

He was working on his photography skills

And last but not least, making some pudding.

I also purchased the knobbed cylinders. He did the first two with no problem. The third one was not difficult for him but I think he needs some practice.
I have a question for anyone who does Montessori with there kids. Wingnut loves the color tablets. He will match them to everything in the environment but will not match them to each other. What is concerning me is when I ask him to bring me a certain color or touch a color he won’t. I just am not sure if he understands which name goes to which color or if he is just being the typical wingnut and not doing something because he does not want to. Should I just keep working with color box one or should I add a couple colors from color box 2 or should I just move on to color box 2? I am slightly confused. I don’t want to stop him since he loves them so much. I am leaning toward just moving on to color box 2. Any ideas would be wonderful and thanks in advance.
