Toddler Tuesday is brought to you from One Hook Wonder. Go there to see others
I read an interesting article the other day about teaching phonics and it recommended starting out with listening and rhythm activities. I figured since my little guy barely talks we could definitely start with these activities and have success.
Here is a sound bingo game we worked on.

And we did a listening walk. I printed out some pictures of things we would listen for while we went for a walk. He really enjoyed it. We ended the walk by throwing rocks in mud puddles and that is why this paper is all messed up

Some unsuccessful pink tower work.

I wanted to share how we practice pouring here. I keep an empty creamer bottle filled with juice in the fridge so when he is thirsty he can grab it and pour his own juice whenever he wants.

Then when I was upstairs the other day I heard some random noises downstairs. This is what I found. I tell you I can not keep that kid out of the kitchen.

We took a trip to the children’s hands on museum. He loves it. He spent the first hour just playing with the train set there.

I got a new puzzle for him. It is from Mellisa and Doug and has a train with a car for every letter. In the picture you can see he has a train on the puzzle that was because I was having him drive his train to whichever animal I told him to find.

Running and hopping through a tire. My husband purchased new tires for his bike and so I hurried up and used them before he installed them

putting sockets on and off of the ratchet.

Then I made an activity using these heart picks I found at the dollar store.

Wow that was a busy week!
