Open Ended Art: Collage and yellow

collage

At Teaching My Little Bookworm, the theme for the opened ended art for this week was collage and yellow. I had this big plan for a collage but wingnut did not agree. He still does not understand that when you glue something it stays there. After he had glued stuff to the cardboard, I put it on the counter to dry. When I went in the other room he pulled a chair up to the counter and proceeded to pull everything he could off. This was what was left. So I figured it is his art and he can do what he wants with it :) I did pull out the yellow paint and he did end up painting it a little bit.

This is so funny!! I have to say though, what was left and the finished product look pretty cool to me! Your photography skills are awesome!! I am going to check out your “pictures” section now.

Your pictures are super!! Your quilting is amazing–you are so talented! I would love to be able to quilt like that–how long have you been quilting?

I agree with Susana – I think the collage turned out well. Interestingly, Anna never tried to pull something that she glued on off again. I think that’s because she tried this on stickers when she was about 18 months old and learned that this doesn’t really work.

LoL your son is so cute, pulling off the glued items.. aww! but atleast he was experimenting!

  5. I think his collage turned out great! that is cute that he tried to pull everything off! :)

Mine glued a piece on upside down that was full of phone numbers on the back, so he had to pull it off again. I think yours looks very cute!

I LOVE that you were able to be OK with the fact that it’s his art and he can pull things off if he wants to. I’m sure he was learning many things just by pulling things off that were sticky. That is so great, and I’m impressed, because so often it’s hard to remember that the finished product isn’t what counts with open-ended art, but the process! He is all about process and that’s awesome! And, I have to say, I really like his collage the way it is! :)
