Potty Training – Day Two

Well, today did not go any better than yesterday. He is now starting to hate it when I put him on the toilet. So we went and bought a seat for him. The cars one of course. Oh and we bought the flushable wipes because I find that dealing with poo in underwear is not fun at all. I hope he gets the idea soon….Although I have a feeling it will be awhile /cry.

To answer your question: I’ve been wanting to potty train my LO for a while now, 6 months, but I decided to wait until she was absolutely ready for it. She just turned three. I give her M&M’s when she goes and I put stickers on a chart when she goes. After she goes a certain number of times I have a bag full of $1 prizes that she can choose from. I have her in pull-ups most of the time. I tried putting her in underwear one day and she had accidents so I decided to go back to pull-ups. She doesn’t go all of the time on the potty, but she’s slowing getting better at telling me when she needs to go. I’m not even close to being in the clear though. It may take a while. I hope it gets better for you. Good luck!

Oh, my. It does not sound fun over at your house. Hopefully, it will start getting better soon! We’re starting to think seriously about the potty training issue here… he actually peed in the potty last night (!) but then nothing today. We’re being pretty casual about it thus far, mostly because we’re trying to work on potty time communication. I’m feeling really positive about where we’re at right now, and am hoping we’ll make definite progress this summer. (Which would be nice, because dealing with cloth diaper laundry every 3 days sucks!!!) :P
