The Quilt Festival going on over at Park City Girl is simply amazing. I have viewed over 500 quilts now and I must admit I like them all. Not one is ugly. Quilting amazes me in so many ways.
First, not one quilt I saw was the same. There are so many different quilt patterns and color combinations that it would be hard to find two quilts that were exactly alike.
Two, every quilt says something about the maker, well mainly when it is for the maker. You can tell what that person likes.
Three, color! This one is my favorite. I do not have a favorite color per say. I do tend to favor red, but I love every other color out there. Quilting really lets you play with color, unlike knitting my previous hobby. You are semi restrained in that it is either a solid, variated, or a really complex knitted pattern with different colors. Which is never as pretty as all that fabric out there
