In my browsing the web I came across this site called Bushfire Quilt Project and decided that I should help out. Here is my results.
block
I made two total and they look exactly the same. Do you notice the little bit of log cabin going on around the edge? LOL. I am such a noob. Awhile ago I read about marking the true one forth inch on your sewing machine. So I did that with some masking tape, I know really ghetto. Well, my son came along and took it off and I have yet to put it back on. I never really thought about it since then because I have never done anything where I co-sewed a quilt. So when I finished the blocks I realized they were not the right size. oops :( I sent them off anyways and am hoping they will still get used.

If you hadn’t said they were a mistake, I would have never noticed. The block just looks nicely framed. And so pretty and green. I have no doubt they’ll get used!

On my old machine, I tried tape, but it kept coming off (or would get stuck on my fabric). I resorted to using a sharpie. Talk about ghetto! :P
