M-9 Fan Dance

Block: M-9, Fan Dance

Quilt Started: 1.8.09

Block Started: 1.22.09

Block Completed: 1.26.09

Number of Pieces: 28

Description: Hand Pieced

Notes: This one was pretty easy just a little time consuming. The only part I had trouble with was the border pieces, lets just say there is not much of a seam allowance. I also tried something different on this one, I cut the seam allowance on the dark pieces a little smaller then a fourth of an inch. Then with the white pieces, I cut them a little bigger then a fourth of an inch. That way I would not have to trim the dark fabric later to keep it from showing through the white fabric. This seemed to work out well and I will be continuing to do this with future blocks.

Very pretty! And cutting the darker color a little scant is very clever. I might have to give that a try.
