8 and 9 months

Wingnut

Wow the last 2 months have flown by. It seems like I just posted about 6 and 7 months. I am terribly sick at the moment. It has made me lazy. I hate that. It always seems like I get in a routine then I get sick and lazy and then get out of my routine and have to start all over. So lame. Overall Wingnut has been doing great. He has had a few bumps and bruises these last few months but has lived to tell about them.. I feel like I have a lot of negative feelings about being a mother and need to try to do something to see the positives about about the situation I put myself into. So while reading Mamieknits she mentioned a photo project that sounds like the thing I need. It is a picture everyday for 30 days showing what you do everyday. Now I am very bad at posting lately because it always seems like the lasts thing I want to do, but I am going to try. I might end up taking the pics, then posting them all at once we will see. Now for some Wingnut news

Mobility

He has mastered crawling and never scoots anymore. Which is nice since I always have an endless supply of dog hair. When I leave the room he instantly follows me crying the whole way. Oh how endearing lol. He is pulling himself up anywhere and everywhere. They say the next step is walking while holding on to things, which he kind of does along the couch but I think he needs a bit more practice. He sits up on his own great now and does not need my assistance.

Eating and Sleeping

He still does not like chunks in his food, although he has started to eat cheerios without spitting it back out instantly. I have incorporated a new feeding schedule that seems to be working. I read somewhere awhile back that most sleeping problems are linked to eating. Which seems to be the case with wingnut most of the time if he is not teething or having a growth spurt. Well lately he has been waking up at three in the morning to nurse so I decided that I would switch up his eating schedule and see what would happen. Here it is for anyone who is interested:

6:00 – Brestfeed

9:00 – Brestfeed

10:00 – Solids

1:00 – Brestfeed

2:00 – Solids

5:00 – Brestfeed

6:00 – Solids

9:00 – Brestfeed

I think with this routine he is getting more food over the day. I think he has been having a growth spurt and need the extra nutrients. These last few weeks has also brought on two new teeth, his front bottom ones. He was a little late in getting his teeth but that is fine with me.

Other Stuff

He has started a new kind of scream when he is getting mad, it is hard to explain. It sounds like a normal scream with rolling of the tongue at the same time. He finally fits his six to nine month clothes, I am telling you my kid is small. But everyone in my family has tiny babies. I am so happy that he has a movie he likes. In the morning, so I can rest a bit longer, I put him in his jumper, start his movie and he will be content for the whole movie while I get a bit more rest. Thank you Wingnut. :)
