Secret Weapon

The other day we decided to try using a pacifier to help wingNut go to sleep. This was a hard decision for me. I have heard horrible stories of children and pacifiers, addictions and constant waking up at night because it falls out. So we decided to try it with the stipulation that if he was the kind of baby to cry once it fell out we would discontinue the use of the pacifier. The reason we wanted to try using one is we were having trouble putting him down for his naps and sometimes bedtime. We tried various methods like white noise, patting, staying with him, leaving, cry it out, reading to him, and various other methods. Sometimes they would work and other times they would not. So yesterday we tried the pacifier, and it worked. We try letting him put him self to sleep first and when that is not working we then use the pacifier. Also, we agreed to not put it back in if spitted out. We now have a secret weapon. I hope this continues to work and makes my life easier.

Naps have been the hardest thing with wingNut. He is very inconsistent about them. Sometimes he will take them others he won’t. His morning naps usually are his best then it goes down hill from there. When he does take his naps he is happier and I am happier. I can get things done and spend some time doing things I want to do like post to my blog.

Besides naps, wingNut is really good I can’t complain at all.
