Lets just say this is on the list of bad camping experiences. To many rattlesnakes and ticks. We decided to hike in which is no problem until you are on hills and a rattlesnake comes up from the side and you get scared and almost fall down the hill. Yeah that happened to me. Another rattlesnake encounter was about 100 feet from our camp site. There was one by the stream and my husband decides he can kill it with river rocks, sticks and a shovel. He did end up winning and killing the snake. He is my hero

Then we took our dogs which ended up having, not kidding, about a hundred ticks on them. We are still getting rid of them three weeks later.

If those two elements of the camping trip did not happen I think I would have enjoyed it.
