We went camping again. Twice in one month, that is a first for me. We were in the middle of the desert and boy was it hot. There was no shade around for miles. I am not sure if I would camp there again. The first day was really hot and miserable. The second day there was a sand storm, which was miserable also. The third day was probably the best out of all three. After the initial hot weather it got to where it was perfect temperature.

We saw a bit of wildlife. I have pictures of some, ducks, birds, groundhog, and cows. And some that I do not have pictures, hedgehog, coyote, fish, spiders, mosquitoes. The wildlife was probably the best part about the trip.

We went on two hikes. We took them early in the morning to avoid heat. The first one we found one tree by the water and not much else. The second one we found a river that was down in a rock valley that we could not get too.

For the most part we just read. The heat took your energy away to where you did not want to do anything. We did play a few games mainly Uno. My husband did a bit of fishing and caught a small bass that he had to return.

As sunburns go, I was able to avoid getting one. But, our friend that went with us did not. He fell asleep in the sun and got a really bad sunburn. Hope he does not peel.
