My friend Lisa entered her poem “To Bloom” in a contest. Here is the info on the status of her poem.
I went through The International Library of Poetry (a.k.a.) Poetry.com my poem “To Bloom” and a selection committee certified that my poem was a semi-finalist in their International Open Poetry Contest. I am automatically entered into the final competition held this month, February 2003. I have a chance of winning one of the 104 cash or gift prizes (the grand prize is 1,000.00 & the Annual Grand Prize is $10,000.00). I will have “To Bloom” published in a coffee-table hard bound edition entitled “Patterns of Life” library of congress ISBN-0-7951-5239-6 scheduled for publication Spring of 2003. And as a poet chosen for publication, I was asked to attend The International Society of Poet’s 2003 Spring Convention and Symposium to be held at The Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida February 28-March 2, 2003 and a formal invitation was sent to me.
